The category enemy is one-note mass tubs that dump maltodextrin with a thin protein hit, or “gainer” shakes that hide a single cheap protein behind cartoon bulk claims. Muscle On runs a four-source dairy matrix — WPC80, WPI90, whey hydrolysate and micellar casein — then layers a short/medium carb blend of waxy maize starch, maltodextrin and dextrose so the serve is fuel plus protein, not a sugar bomb with a scoop of dust on top.
Why this tub wins on the panel: every 75 g (2 scoops) serve delivers about 287 kcal, 33.75 g protein and 33.75 g carbohydrate with only 1.8 g fat and 4.35 g sugars. That is a near 1:1 protein-to-carb split at ~383 kcal per 100 g — balanced bulk for hardgainers and strength athletes who still want macros they can track. Protein contributes to a growth in muscle mass and the maintenance of muscle mass.
Beyond the base matrix the label prints a real active stack: 289 mg caprylic acid (C8) and 184 mg caprylic acid (C10), plus 187.5 mg L-glutamine and an added BCAA hit — 93.75 mg L-leucine, 46.87 mg L-valine and 46.87 mg L-isoleucine. A full vitamin line lands at 15% NRV per serve for vitamins C, E, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, B6, folic acid, B12 and biotin — recovery-support micronutrients on every shake, not an afterthought sticker.
About 13 servings in the 1000 g tub at the label 75 g serve. Mix 75 g with 250 ml water or milk once daily. One serve max per day. Scale the powder if you care about exact grams — the scoop only helps portioning.
33.75 g protein. 33.75 g carbs. Four protein sources. Real bulk that earns the Muscle On name.
